New job and flat

August has been a busy month for me so far so sorry about the delay in updates.

Have been in my new job for 2 weeks now, am settling in and getting upto speed on all of the systems. Currently working on a new backup system for the Webfusion platform, Terabytes of data to backup. eek! lol

Also moved into a new flat with my mate John, he’s on holiday at the mo, so still need to get used to living with someone again!

Goodbye LCC

I’ve officially handed my notice in at work, goodbye Leeds Council.

I’m off to work at Pipex’s Leeds Data Centre, doing Unix Sys Admin, can’t wait. Lots more money and I might actually have some work to do…

Updated to WordPress 2.2 and the full version of Gallery 2.2.

Also migrated from Apache 2 to lighttpd. We’ll see if things are broken or not. lol

On another note, I’m off to Blackpool this weekend. woo

Long Time

Yes, I know it’s been a long time since I posted anything here.

Could say that I’ve been busy, which is true to some extent, but just not been doing too much to warrant regular posts.

Some things I should have posted about invidually, but I’ll do them all here…

1 – Passed my driving test. Woo Couldn’t believe that I passed first time. Had a massive smile on my face when the examiner said the words; “Congratulations, you’ve passed.”

2 – After passing my test I’ve bought myself a car. A X Reg Silver Vauxhall Corsa. Not crashed it yet! Getting used to driving on my own, although I have driven some of my friends around, and they weren’t too scared…

3 – Manchester Pride. The photos have been online for ages but havn’t written about it. Was a wicked time, was nice to spend time with my mates again, doing what we do best, party! lol Ended up looking after Ian cos he was too drunk, he kept protesting that he wasn’t but thats Ian for ya…

Can’t remember anything else that is important, the rest of the time I’ve been working, driving or out drinking in Queens court. lol

Promise that I won’t leave it as long till the next post…

Season Finales

I’ve just watched the season 2 finale of Lost and the last ever episode of Alias from ABC.

All I can say with lost is wow! Some questions answered but more posed. Finally found out why the plane crashed, but still need to find out who the others are, apparently the good guys… Won’t say anymore cos I know it’s not gonna be on Channel 4 for ages!

And Alias, what can I say? Goodbye Sydney! I love that show, when season 5 comes out on dvd, I’ll buy it and have the whole set. Can have an alias marathon… (That would take a while, book a week or 2 off work. lol)
